We are seeking a couple of cleaners and a cleaner who will have supervisory duties.
A little about us. Check our website https://linisbythebay.com. We are a small cleaning company that looks after about 90 holiday rentals in and around the Nelson Bay Area and we are growing. We have a team of 11 employees. My wife and I started in March of 2019 and haven't looked back. We love doing what we do and we love our team. As well as cleaning we have had a large laundry attached to the business which takes care of all the laundering needs for the properties which all supply linen to their guests. We will also be opening a laundromat in November, as we've outgrown our current space, which will also deal with drop off laundry from the general public. https://laundry-lane.com.au. We also perform standard domestic cleans, some commercial cleans, rental vacate cleans and property sales cleans.
The holiday rental cleans are thorough and involve stripping and making of beds at most properties, top to bottom dust, full bathroom, kitchen, windows as required, vac and mop. We are doing well as we have a high attention to detail and have a well oiled team.
The supervisors role is to lead a team when required and you are responsible for ensuring the cleans are completed properly and to standard and to fill out job sheets and close off on relevant apps. Starting pay for Supervisor is Level 2 casual from the Cleaners Award which is $32.25/hr Weekdays, $45.15 Saturdays, $58.05 Sundays, $70.95 Public Holidays. This role would become Permanent Part Time after 3 Months. Hours for Supervisor is between 20 - 25 per week and up to 35 hours during peak.
Starting pay for cleaners is level 1 casual from the Cleaners Award which is $31.21/hr Weekdays, $43.70 Saturdays, $56.18 Sundays, $68.67 Public Holidays. This would evolve to Part-Time, if you desire, after 3 months which attracts holiday pay and personal leave with the potential for increases in the future. Hours for casual cleaners are between 15 - 20 hours a week at present and up to 30 - 35 hours during peak holiday periods.
If anyone showed interest you can also look at working in the laundromat which would entail washing and folding and assisting our laundry team. The laundromat will be opened Monday - Fridays and will be especially busy from late December through to February and Easter holidays every year.
We supply all the cleaning products and equipment and vehicles.
You will need to be based in Nelson Bay or surrounding suburbs and have a drivers licence to be considered for the position and also be available on weekends.
Applications close by November 17 2024.
